Hey, I’m Jess
A little bit about my story..
My journey into photography began after my dad unexpectedly died 6 years ago. I had little to no memories of him or with him. I have just one photo of him with one of my babies.
In my grief I vowed that I would capture every stage of my babies childhood so that they would always know their story and just how much they were loved. So I got my first camera and then fell in love with creating memories.
As time passed I found a love for capturing newborns and mothers. Understanding just how fast our babies grow which is the heartbreakingly beautiful part of motherhood and making women and mothers feel beautiful in their own skin. This comes from my own personal experience of an eating disorder. From late teens to mid twenties I suffered from bulimia. Even at my smallest I still hated what I saw in the mirror. Over time I have learnt to love myself. Motherhood and raising daughters has helped me on my healing journey. To the women who haven’t had the courage to get in the photos as they are worried they won’t like how they look in their photos, I see you, I am you. My purpose is to make you feel more beautiful than you ever have felt.
This time right now deserves to be preserved. My mission is to capture you right now just as you are, capturing the love, emotion and connection so that when you are looking at your heirlooms you are transported back to that exact moment in time and feel the way you did in that very moment.
So if you are after a photographer who will make you feel confident & empowered, validated & seen, then I’m the photographer for you.
